Working across painting, sculpture, installation, and experimental materials, his work explores the relationships between <strong>materiality, <\/strong>nature, and <strong>migration<\/strong>, investigating the generative and transformative forces that continuously shape the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Born and raised in Hong Kong, Yeung became actively involved in the city&#8217;s independent art community from an early age. For more than a decade, he was an active member of the inter-school art collective&nbsp;<strong>Art Focus<\/strong>, participating in exhibitions, curatorial projects, and cultural programs while engaging in dialogue with established Hong Kong artists. These formative experiences cultivated an open perspective on contemporary art and laid the foundation for his curatorial approach, which continues to inform his artistic practice today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Having lived in France for nearly fifteen years, L\u00e9o has immersed himself in <strong>Paris\u2019s contemporary art scene<\/strong>. Alongside his studio practice, he has participated in the artistic programs of the Atelier des Beaux-Arts de la Ville de Paris. Through sustained visits with <strong>artworks in museums and galleries<\/strong>, ranging from art history and canonical works to cutting-edge contemporary practices, he has deepened his understanding of artistic contexts and approaches to making. At the same time, he has developed close friendships with artists in Paris, engaging in <strong>frequent and in-depth exchanges and growing together through their respective artistic practices.<\/strong> He regularly spent time in artists\u2019 studios and exhibition spaces, taking part in the production of works, exhibition installation, and various aspects of artistic practice. These experiences have given him an insider\u2019s understanding of contemporary art production and exhibition-making within the artist community. Together with his immersion in Paris\u2019s artistic environment, they have shaped his engagement with abstraction, conceptual thinking, material experimentation, and artistic processes, gradually informing a creative language that brings together Eastern and Western cultural perspectives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yeung holds a\u00a0<strong>Master of Philosophy<\/strong>\u00a0from the\u00a0Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, where his research focused on digital imaging, interactive systems, and human\u2013computer interaction. He has published academic papers and received international creative technology awards from Microsoft, Samsung, and Intel. This background continues to inform his artistic practice, where material research, technological media, and conceptual thinking intersect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Living and working between Paris, Hong Kong, and Hokkaido continues to provide Yeung with diverse cultural and artistic perspectives.In recent years, <strong>Hokkaido, Japan<\/strong>, has become an important site of artistic research within his practice. Its natural landscapes, craft traditions, and regional cultural practices have become important sources of inspiration for his work.&nbsp;Alongside his studio practice, he actively develops interdisciplinary cultural initiatives connecting contemporary art, technology, education, and regional cultural development, exploring how art can foster dialogue and meaningful connections across cultures, communities, and generations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Biographie<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>L\u00e9o Yeung (\u694a\u667a\u8c6a \/ \u30e4\u30f3\u30fb\u30ec\u30aa)<\/strong> est un artiste plasticien contemporain bas\u00e9 en France, dont la pratique se d\u00e9ploie entre la France, Hong Kong et le Japon. \u00c0 travers la peinture, la sculpture, l\u2019installation et l\u2019exp\u00e9rimentation de mat\u00e9riaux, son travail explore les relations entre <strong>mat\u00e9rialit\u00e9<\/strong>, nature et <strong>migration<\/strong>, et interroge les forces g\u00e9n\u00e9ratrices et transformatrices qui fa\u00e7onnent continuellement le monde.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">N\u00e9 et ayant grandi \u00e0 Hong Kong, Yeung s\u2019est engag\u00e9 tr\u00e8s t\u00f4t dans la sc\u00e8ne artistique ind\u00e9pendante de la ville. Pendant plus d\u2019une d\u00e9cennie, il a \u00e9t\u00e9 membre actif du collectif artistique interscolaire <strong>Art Focus<\/strong>, participant \u00e0 des expositions, des projets curatoriaux et des programmes culturels, tout en \u00e9changeant avec des artistes reconnus de la sc\u00e8ne hongkongaise. Ces exp\u00e9riences fondatrices ont nourri son ouverture \u00e0 l\u2019art contemporain et pos\u00e9 les bases de son approche curatoriale, qui continue aujourd\u2019hui d\u2019informer sa pratique artistique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Install\u00e9 en France depuis pr\u00e8s de quinze ans, L\u00e9o s\u2019est profond\u00e9ment immerg\u00e9 dans <strong>la sc\u00e8ne artistique contemporaine parisienne<\/strong>. Parall\u00e8lement \u00e0 sa pratique en atelier, il a particip\u00e9 aux activit\u00e9s artistiques des Ateliers des Beaux-Arts de la Ville de Paris. \u00c0 travers une fr\u00e9quentation assidue des <strong>\u0153uvres dans les mus\u00e9es et les galeries<\/strong>, de l\u2019histoire de l\u2019art et des \u0153uvres majeures aux pratiques contemporaines les plus avant-gardistes, il a approfondi sa compr\u00e9hension des contextes artistiques et des d\u00e9marches de cr\u00e9ation. Parall\u00e8lement, il a nou\u00e9 des liens d\u2019amiti\u00e9 \u00e9troits avec des artistes \u00e0 Paris, entretenant avec eux des <strong>\u00e9changes fr\u00e9quents et approfondis, et \u00e9voluant ensemble \u00e0 travers leurs pratiques artistiques respectives<\/strong>. Il a ainsi r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement fr\u00e9quent\u00e9 leurs ateliers et les lieux d\u2019exposition, participant \u00e0 la production d\u2019\u0153uvres, au montage d\u2019expositions et \u00e0 diverses formes de pratique artistique. Ces exp\u00e9riences lui ont permis de d\u00e9velopper une compr\u00e9hension de l\u2019int\u00e9rieur de la cr\u00e9ation contemporaine et des dynamiques d\u2019exposition au sein des communaut\u00e9s d\u2019artistes. Associ\u00e9es \u00e0 son immersion dans l\u2019environnement artistique parisien, elles ont nourri son int\u00e9r\u00eat pour l\u2019abstraction, la pens\u00e9e conceptuelle, l\u2019exp\u00e9rimentation mat\u00e9rielle et les processus de cr\u00e9ation, contribuant progressivement \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9laboration d\u2019un langage artistique qui met en dialogue des perspectives culturelles orientales et occidentales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yeung est titulaire d\u2019un <strong>Master of Philosophy<\/strong> de la <strong>Hong Kong University of Science and Technology<\/strong>, o\u00f9 ses recherches portaient sur l\u2019imagerie num\u00e9rique, les syst\u00e8mes interactifs et l\u2019interaction homme-machine. Il a publi\u00e9 plusieurs articles scientifiques et re\u00e7u des prix internationaux dans le domaine des technologies cr\u00e9atives, d\u00e9cern\u00e9s notamment par Microsoft, Samsung et Intel. Cette formation continue d\u2019influencer sa pratique artistique, \u00e0 la crois\u00e9e de la recherche sur les mat\u00e9riaux, des m\u00e9dias technologiques et de la pens\u00e9e conceptuelle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Vivant et travaillant entre Paris, Hong Kong et Hokkaido, Yeung continue de nourrir sa pratique de perspectives culturelles et artistiques diverses. Ces derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es, <strong>Hokkaido, au Japon<\/strong>, est devenu un territoire important de recherche artistique dans sa pratique. Ses paysages naturels, ses traditions artisanales et ses pratiques culturelles r\u00e9gionales constituent des sources d\u2019inspiration majeures pour son travail. Parall\u00e8lement \u00e0 sa pratique artistique, il d\u00e9veloppe activement des initiatives culturelles interdisciplinaires \u00e0 la crois\u00e9e de l\u2019art contemporain, des technologies, de l\u2019\u00e9ducation et du d\u00e9veloppement culturel r\u00e9gional, explorant la mani\u00e8re dont l\u2019art peut favoriser le dialogue et cr\u00e9er des liens significatifs entre les cultures,
